What Does a Professional Move-Out Cleaning Include?
The difference between a regular clean and a move-out clean, and which items are normally quoted as extras.
The core scope
A move-out clean is a detailed clean of an empty property. Because there is no furniture in the way, the work reaches inside cabinets and closets, along baseboards, and across the full floor area — places a regular visit cannot get to.
Usually included
- Full kitchen, including cabinet interiors
- Full bathrooms, including fixtures and glass
- Baseboards, doors and door frames
- Light switches, handles and other high-touch points
- Dusting throughout, then floors last
Usually quoted separately
- Interior oven and interior refrigerator cleaning
- Interior window and track cleaning
- Wall washing beyond normal spot cleaning
- Carpet or upholstery machine cleaning
- Garage, balcony, patio or storage locker
About damage deposits
A thorough clean puts the property in good shape, but no cleaning company can guarantee a deposit decision — that is up to your landlord or property manager. Ask them for their inspection list and pass it along with your quote request so nothing is missed.
